Often a professional paint job, some drywall repair and a refinished vanity are enough to update a bathroom, for a fraction of the cost and disruption of a gut renovation. We're based in Tsawwassen, in the City of Delta, and do bathroom refreshes across Tsawwassen, Ladner and Delta.
Bathrooms are humid, so they need the right approach: mould-resistant, moisture-tolerant paints, proper prep, and repair of any water-damaged drywall before finishing. We also refinish vanities and cabinets with a durable sprayed finish (see our cabinet painting service).
Our side of a Delta bathroom update is paint, drywall and cabinets; we don't do plumbing or tile work. For a wider room-by-room repaint, see our interior painting across Delta.
Why use Texora for a bathroom refresh in Delta?
The right finish for humidity
We use moisture- and mould-resistant products and proper prep, since standard paint doesn't hold up to bathroom humidity.
Paint, drywall and vanity, one crew
We handle the whole cosmetic refresh together, so you're not coordinating multiple trades for a simple update.
A fraction of a renovation
A refresh costs a fraction of a full renovation and changes how the bathroom looks.
Honest about scope
We do paint, drywall and cabinets, and we'll tell you if your project needs a full renovation instead.

Why do bathrooms need different paint?
Shower steam makes standard wall paint peel near the tub surround, dull or speckle dark in corners, so we use moisture- and mould-resistant paints in bathrooms.
An undersized, blocked or rarely used exhaust fan is often why a bathroom repaint fails early, so have it looked at around the same time as the repaint.

Signs to check before painting a bathroom in Delta
Soft spots around the tub, shower and under the vanity are usually where a slow leak or splashing has already got into the drywall, and painting over active mildew just traps it under the new coat. Cracked or gapped caulk at the tub, sink and baseboard is a common way moisture gets behind the wall, and it's cheap to fix.
How a bathroom refresh runs in Delta
1
Look at the room
We check for soft spots around the tub, shower and vanity, mildew and cracked caulk, and agree what's in scope with you.
2
Repair the drywall
Water-damaged or mouldy drywall is removed and replaced or patched, finished paint-ready and texture-matched where needed.
3
Prep
Mildew is treated rather than painted over, and the surfaces are prepped before paint.
4
Paint
Walls and ceiling get moisture- and mould-resistant paint, and trim and doors get the right sheen.
5
Refinish the vanity
Vanity doors and drawer fronts are removed, degreased, sanded, primed and spray finished.

More about bathroom refreshes in Delta
What does water-damaged bathroom drywall repair involve?
Repairing water-damaged or mouldy drywall is one of our core services: we remove and replace or patch the affected drywall, finish it paint-ready, and repaint to match. The affected section generally has to come out rather than get painted over, whether the damage came from a slow leak, a gap in the seal around the tub, or ongoing humidity, and in a textured wall the repair gets texture-matched to blend in.
How is a bathroom vanity refinished?
We refinish vanities and cabinets with a durable sprayed finish, the same process as our cabinet painting: doors and drawer fronts removed, degreased, sanded, and primed before the topcoat goes on. Refinishing changes the finish on a vanity without replacing it.
Bathroom ceilings and trim
Bathroom ceilings take on more humidity than most rooms in the house, so the same moisture- and mould-resistant paint used on the walls goes on the ceiling too. Trim and door casings in a bathroom are covered in more detail on our trim, doors and ceilings page, including the sheen and dry-time guidance that applies just as much to a bathroom door as anywhere else in the home.
What to decide before a bathroom refresh quote
Whether the project needs drywall repair or just paint
Vanity or cabinet refinishing, included or not
Colour direction for a small, mostly-tiled room
Whether the exhaust fan needs a separate look (outside our scope, but worth flagging)
Timeline, especially if it's the only bathroom in the house
What our bathroom refresh doesn't include
Our side of a bathroom refresh stops at paint, drywall, and cabinet refinishing. If a project needs new tile, a different layout, or plumbing work, that's outside what we do, and we'll say so plainly rather than take on a scope we're not set up for.
What does the bathroom refresh warranty cover?
Bathroom projects carry the same written estimate and workmanship warranty as any other job we do, one to three years depending on scope. That 1, 2 or 3-year warranty covers paint that fails from how it was applied, drywall tape or patches that fail, or caulking we installed that lets go. It doesn't cover moisture getting in from a source outside our work, like a leaking fixture or failed grout, or normal wear from daily use.
There's a final walkthrough before any project is called finished, so you get a chance to flag anything in scope before we consider the job done.

Bathroom refresh questions from Delta homeowners
We use moisture- and mould-resistant paints designed for high-humidity rooms, applied over proper prep, which prevents the peeling, blistering and mildew that standard paint develops in bathrooms.

Because it's cosmetic rather than a full reno, a bathroom refresh is very affordable, typically a few hundred dollars for paint alone, more if drywall repair or vanity refinishing is included. We give you a detailed free quote up front.
